This is for the information of all students of KGEC that we are conducting a survey on use and familiarization of Linux after “Installfest”. A questionnaire has been made which can downloaded online http://kgeclug.blog.co.in. Q) Can I have dual booting of Linux and Windows?

Ans) Yes, you can.

.

Q) Is there a problem in uninstalling Linux, once I install it?

Ans) No. You can always have your System back to your original state like it was before installing Linux. There are methods for doing this. Don’t just install Windows over your current dual booting Computer. If you do this, there will be a waste of space where Linux is installed.

Q) Can I play music and movies (like mp3) and other stuff which we normally do in Linux?

Ans) Yes. But for playing proprietary music formats (like mp3), you will have to install the required codecs.  There are also players like vlc, Real Player and mplayer availiable after which you will have no problem.
